It’s been ten years since the Wildcats last reached the NCAA Tournament, and enter 2023 with a new influx of talent. There will be some significant turnover for the Wildcat's pitching staff, as RHP Griffin Kassall and newcomers LHP Owen Boerema and RHP Shay Hartis hope to make their mark in the rotation immediately. On the left side of the infield, the Wildcats boast one of the best players and prospects in the Big 12. Nick Goodwin was sensational last season as a sophomore, leading the team in RBIs and walks. He was selected as a unanimous All-Big 12 selection and could be the key cog in the wheel that helps Kansas State baseball return to greatness. If the starting rotation takes that step forward, the Wildcats can compete at the top tier of the Big 12.
